Guantanamerías

Pete Seeger  grabó «Guantanamera» en 1963. Y la hizo famosa.Una canción que da la vuelta al mundo con frecuencia. Versiones de Celia Cruz, Compay Segundo, La Lupe, Lucrecia, Sés.

Otra canción muy popular y muy versioneada: «Bella Ciao». Aquí por Goran Bregovic, Quilapayún, Tom Waits.

«Todo cambia», versión en italiano por Teresa de Sio

«La Tarara», también muy conocida. Recogida por Federico García Lorca, interpretada por Camarón, y mas recientemente por Inti-Illimani con Diego El Cigala.

Folk Alley, que todavía resiste a las tentaciones del mundo actual, ha confeccionado una lista de las mejores canciones folk de todos los tiempos. La lista es seria y siempre se puede estar más o menos en desacuerdo, pero es honesta.
La profética y exultante ‘This land is your land’ de Woody Guthrie, un himno americano más revolucionario que el suave ‘God Bless America’ de Irving Berlin, ha sido elegida la mejor canción Folk de todos los tiempos.
El tema lo escribió Guthrie en 1940, pero no la pudo publicar hasta 1951. Nadie le hacía caso. Hoy es día es un orgullo para los Estados Unidos.
